AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WILKINSON
COUNTY, GEORGIA, FOR THE ENACTMENT OF AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE OFFENSE OF
DISORDERLY CONDUCT IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF WILKINSON COUNTY, GEORGIA, TO
PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Wilkinson
County, Georgia, pursuant to the authority of O.C.G.A. 36-1-20 is hereby
resolved by authority of same, as follows:
- Any person who shall engage in any violent, tumultuous, offensive or
disorderly conduct; by threatening, challenging to fight or fighting, or by
using obscene, offensive, profane or unseemly language to the annoyance,
disturbance or vexation of another, shall be guilty of disorderly conduct.
- Jurisdiction over the prosecution of any such offenses shall be in the
Magistrate Court of Wilkinson County, Georgia.
- Any person convicted of disorderly conduct shall be punished by payment of
a fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment in the County Jail for a term
not exceeding sixty (60) days, or both.
- All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Adopted this 6th day of August 1985 by the
Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners.
