Wilkinson County is part of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. The Superior Court handles all felony criminal proceedings, civil actions, garnishments, domestic actions, name changes, family violence actions, land registrations, land condemnations and uniform support for dependant children. The Clerk of Superior Court is responsible for properly recording and maintaining all Wilkinson County land records, including historical records, charters, financing statements, executions, federal and state tax liens, hospital liens and other materials mandated by law to be recorded. The Clerk is also responsible for the collection of fines, filing fees associated with the various cases and real estate transactions, Georgia transfer tax and intangible tax.
