What is a Chamber?

The purpose of a chamber is to create and maintain a network of business and professional individuals with the benefit of forming a pool of resources - business, natural and human - for the generation of ideas and energy focusing on improving area economic development and building a better community.

With a focus on membership, the Chamber resolves to act as a collective agent of these individuals to do together what one individual can't do alone.  The Chamber is financed primarily by members like you.  All businesses, industries and professionals are eligible to join the Chamber.

Why should I join?

The benefits of membership include business referrals, invitations to events such as Business After Hours and the Annual membership meetings, a free member directory upon request, a quarterly newsletter, assistance with ribbon cuttings and ground breakings, etc., and these benefits will only grow as the Chamber grows.

The tremendous benefit of being involved with the Chamber is why membership dues are considered "investments" instead of donations or dues.

 What is Business After Hours?

Business After Hours is an event designed to create networking opportunities for Chamber members and a way for the host businesses to feature their building, product or service.

Any member business may host a BAH, and Chamber members are invited to attend and guests of members are welcome.  The host business provides hors-d'oeuvres and the Chamber provides beverages.  Jackpot drawings will be held at each BAH to encourage participation.

 How do I join?

Joining the Chamber is simple: complete the application form and pay your annual investment.  However, don't stop there.  Make the most of your investment by taking advantage of all the benefits that membership in the Wilkinson County Chamber of Commerce has to offer.  You then become part of a community force for improving the quality of life for all people in the Wilkinson area.  Remember, "Hand in Hand, We Can!"
