The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for the following position:  CODE ENFORCEMENT/BUILDING PERMIT OFFICER

• This is a part-time position, 20 to 24 hours per week.
• A successful applicant should possess a valid Georgia drivers’ license, at least 5 years of experience in code enforcement and building inspections, and possess certifications needed for legal building inspections and permitting.
• Applicant will be responsible for enforcing county ordinances by spending time out in the county and issuing building permits for residential and commercial buildings which includes overseeing payment for said permits.
• Applications are available in the Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners office located at 100 Bacon Street, Irwinton, GA 31042 and on the county website at https://wilkinsoncounty.net.
• Applications must be completed and returned to the office by close of business Friday May 15, 2026.
