WILKINSON COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT JOB OPENING:  

• 2 HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS, HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00-3:30, FULL TIME POSITIONS (40 hours per week)
• 2 Part Time Grounds Keepers, HOURS: Monday & Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7:00-2:30

Heavy Equipment Operator applicant must hold a valid Class B CDL license. This position includes but is not limited to: operating vehicles, dump trucks, motor graders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment. Applicant will also perform duties such as laying pipes, patching roads, and may operate a lowboy.  Successful applicant must pass a BACKGROUND CHECK and DRUG SCREEN.

Grounds Keeper includes, but not limited to, picking up trash on right of ways, cleaning up around dumpster sites, operating vehicles, weed eaters, zero turn mowers and chainsaws. Applicant must hold a valid Class C Georgia driver’s license. Successful applicant must pass a BACKGROUND CHECK and DRUG SCREEN.
