2025 Election Dates to Remember
- August 18, 2025 – First Day to Accept Absentee Applications for the November 4th General/Special Election
- August 18 – August 22, 2025 – Municipal Qualifying Period. ( Please see your local government for specific qualifying dates and times)
- October 6, 2025 – Last day to register to vote or change your address for the upcoming election
- October 14, 2025 – First day to mail out absentee by mail ballots and first day of early voting for the November 4th Election
- October 18, 2025 – Mandatory Saturday voting 9 am to 5 pm
- October 24, 2025 – Last day to accept absentee my mail applications for November 4th election
- October 25, 2025 – Mandatory Saturday voting. 9 am to 5 pm
- October 31, 2025 – Last day of early voting for November 4th election
- November 4, 2025 – Election Day Everyone will vote at your designated precinct
PUBLIC NOTICE: L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting July 15, 2025, Democratic Primary Public Service Commission Election
Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment that will be used in the July 15, 2025, Democratic Primary Public Service Commission Election in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed at the GED Building located at 8159 Ga Hwy 57, McIntyre, Ga. 31054. Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025, beginning at 9 am and will continue from day to day until completed.
Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday July 16, 2025, unless otherwise posted.
Advance Voting (in-person) will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025, and go through Friday July 11, 2025, at the Wilkinson County Courthouse. The hours of Early voting will be from 9am to 5 pm each day.
Election Day voting is July 15, 2025, at 7:00a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assigned polling location. We are in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133. For more information regarding testing and/or your voter registration status, contact the elections’ office at 478-946-2188.

The Wilkinson County Elections Office will be closed on Friday, April 25 – Thursday, May 1, 2025 for state training. We will be available via email (kchatman@wilkinsoncounty.net). We will also have limited phone access (478-946-2188).

Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Monday May 5, 2025, beginning at 9 am and will continue from day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday June 18, 2025, unless otherwise posted and will continue from day to day until complete.
The last date to register to vote in the June 17, 2025, Special Election is May 19, 2025. The earliest date to begin Absentee Voting by mail begins Tuesday May 27, 2025. Advance Voting (in-person) will begin on Tuesday May 27, 2025, and go through Friday June 13, 2025, at the Wilkinson County Courthouse. The hours of Early voting will be from 9am to 5 pm each day. We will have Saturday voting on Saturday, May 31 & June 7, 2025, at the Wilkinson County Courthouse from 9am to 5 pm.

NOTICE: Intent to process and tabulate early of absentee ballots
PURSUANT TO O.C.G.A. 21-2-386(a)(1)(G) (2) (A) & 183-1-14) This is to notify the citizens of Wilkinson County that the Wilkinson County Board of Elections/Registrar Office, will begin Processing of the ballots for the November 5, 2024, General Election at 9:00 a.m. on October 31, 2024, until completed. Early Processing will be in the Wilkinson County Election & Registration Office in the courthouse at 100 Bacon St, Rm 133 Irwinton, GA 31042.
The early processing of absentee ballots before the closing of the polls shall be a controlled process to maintain the secrecy of all ballots and to protect against the collection or disclosure of any balloting information before the close of the polls at 7:00 PM on Election Day.

Early Voting is being held at the Wilkinson County Courthouse located at 100 Bacon St. Irwinton, GA 31042
- 10/15 -10/19/2024 from 9 am to 5 pm
- 10/21 – 10/26/2024 from 9 am to 5 pm
- 10/28 – 11/01/20024 from 9 am to 5 pm
We will have no Sunday voting.
