PUBLIC NOTICE: L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting November 5, 2024, General Election
Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment that will be used in the November 5, 2024, General Election in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed in the Board of Elections and Registrations office 100 Bacon Street Irwinton, Ga. 31042. Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Monday September 9, 2024, beginning at 9 am and will continue from day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday November 6, 2024, unless otherwise posted and will continue from day to day until complete.
The last date to register to vote in the November 5, 2024, General Election is October 7, 2024. The earliest date to begin Absentee Voting by mail begins Monday October 7, 2024. Advance Voting (in-person) will begin on Tuesday October 15, 2024, and go through Friday November 1, 2024, at the Wilkinson County Courthouse. The hours of Early voting will be from 9am to 5 pm each day. We will have Saturday voting on Saturday, October 20 & 27 2024 at the Wilkinson County Courthouse from 9am to 5 pm.
Election Day voting is November 5, 2024, at 7:00a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assign polling location. We are located in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133.
