NOTICE: April 2, 2024 work session
The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners will hold a work session on Tuesday, April 2,2024 at immediately following the regularly scheduled morning meeting to discuss road projects.
The meeting will convene in Commissioners’ chambers in the Wilkinson County Courthouse, located at 100 Bacon Street, Irwinton, Georgia.

NOTICE: L&A Testing for April 9, 2024 runoff for special election for Chairman, BOC
L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting For the April 9, 2024 Runoff for Special Election for Chairman of Board of Commissioners
Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment that will be used in the April 09 2024, Runoff for Special Election for Chairman of BOC in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed in the Board of Elections and Registrations office 100 Bacon Street Irwinton, Ga. 31042. Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Thursday March 21, 2024 beginning at 10 am and will continue from day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday April 10, 2024 unless otherwise posted and will continue from day to day until complete.
The last date to request an absentee ballot for the April runoff to vote in the April 09, 2024, Runoff for Special Election for Chairman of BOC is March 29, 2024. Advance Voting (in-person will begin on Monday April 1, 2024 thru Friday April 5, 2024 at 9am-5pm at the Wilkinson County Courthouse. Election Day voting is Tuesday April 9, 2024 at 7:00a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assign polling location. We are located in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133. NOTICE: accepting sealed bids for the following County Project: Repair of 4 roads in the City of McIntyre
The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids on the following County Project: Repair of 4 roads in the city of McIntyre.
Department of Transportation Specifications for Patching, Leveling, Resurfacing, Tack Coat, and Stripping should be followed. Payment will be based on quantities in place. Bidders are required to visit roads prior to bidding.
Project Scope: The project consists of approximately 1.4 miles of roadway
The successful bidder will submit a certificate of workers comp., liability insurance, and performance bond in the amount of 100% of the project upon being awarded the bid.
Please use bid documentation sheets to document your bids.
Sealed Bids will be accepted until 2:00 P.M., Monday March 18, 2024, and will be opened and recorded at the Public Bid Opening to be held at the Wilkinson County Commissioners Office. The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
