NOTICE: Board of Education Special Election on March 16, 2021
PUBLIC NOTICE
L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting
March 16, 2021 Board of Education Special Election
In accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-379.6 (c) Logic & Accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the March 16, 2021 Board of Education Special Election and will be publicly performed in the Board of Elections and Registrations office. Testing will begin on February 08, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. This testing will continue day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election superintendent and deputy registrar will conduct testing. Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise posted, and will continue day to day until complete.
The voter registration deadline for the March 16, 2021 Special Election is February 15, 2021. Absentee voting by mail and in person will begin February 22, 2021 thru March 12,2021 at the courthouse. The Recount and L&A testing will be Monday, November 30,2020 at 9:00am, at 100 Bacon Street, Suite 133 Irwinton, Ga. 31042. This recount is open to the public.

In observance of Veterans’ Day, Wilkinson County Courthouse will not be operational on Wednesday November 11, 2020. The Courthouse will reopen on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 8:00a.m.

NOTICE: Chairman Michael Gotell recognized for Academic Achievement in Lifelong Learning Academy
On May 11, 2020, ACCG, Georgia’s County Association, recently awarded county officials with certificates for completing requirements in the Lifelong Learning Academy. Recipients were recognized for their achievements in a special announcement sent to the ACCG membership.
