Notice of Budget Work Session
The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesday July 1, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m. for department budget hearings.
Both meetings will convene in the Commission Chambers of the Wilkinson County Courthouse, located at 100 Bacon Street, Irwinton, Georgia.

NOTICE: seeking Code Enforcement/Building Permit Officer
The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for the following position: CODE ENFORCEMENT/BUILDING PERMIT OFFICER
- This is a part-time position, 20 to 24 hours per week.
- A successful applicant should possess a valid Georgia drivers’ license, at least 5 years of experience in code enforcement and building inspections, and possess certifications needed for legal building inspections and permitting.
- Applicant will be responsible for enforcing county ordinances by spending time out in the county and issuing building permits for residential and commercial buildings which includes overseeing payment for said permits.
- Applications are available in the Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners office located at 100 Bacon Street, Irwinton, GA 31042 and on the county website at https://wilkinsoncounty.net.
- Applications must be completed and returned to the office by close of business Friday May 15, 2026.

The Wilkinson County Courthouse will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. The courthouse will reopen on Monday, April 6, at 8:00 a.m.

Closing date for Sealed Bids responding to Request for Proposals, Wilkinson County Parking Lot Rehabilitation, shall be March 26, 2026 @ 2:00 PM. Bids will be opened in public and read aloud at this time at the Wilkinson County Courthouse, Board of Commissioners.
