November 2, 2021 for the Cities of Gordon, Irwinton & Toomsboro General Election
In accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-379.6 (c) Logic & Accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the November 2, 2021, Municipal General Election and will be publicly performed in the Board of Elections and Registrations office.Testing will begin on September 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. This testing will continue day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used.The election superintendent and deputy registrar will conduct testing.Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday November 3, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise posted, and will continue day to day until complete.
The voter registration deadline for the November 2, 2021, Municipal General Election is October 4, 2021.Absentee voting by mail will begin on October 12, 2021-October 22, 2021. Advanced In-Person voting will begin October 12, 2021-October 29, 2021, at the courthouse from 9:00am-5:00pm. Saturday voting will be on October 16 & 23, 2021. Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise posted, and will continue day to day until complete.
The voter registration deadline for the June 15, 2021 Special Election is May 17, 2021. Absentee voting by mail and in person will begin May 24, 2021 thru June 11,2021 at the courthouse. HOURS: Initially 20-29 Hours / Week
SALARY: $9.07/Hr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to operate a zero-turn riding lawn mower, weed eater, hedge trimmer, chipper, and have valid Georgia Drivers License. Successful applicant must pass drug screen and background check.
Applications are available in the Wilkinson County Commissioners Office in the Courthouse, Irwinton, Georgia. They must be completed and returned to the Commissioners Office by 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021. Wilkinson County is an equal opportunity employer.
