Beginning January 2023, the elections board will begin meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4:30.
NOTICE: seeking poll works for the 2023 election cycle
The Wilkinson County Elections Office is in search of new poll workers for the 2023 election cycle.
A poll worker must:
- Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of that county.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Not hold public office or be a candidate for public office.
- Be able to solve problems.
- Be an effective communicator.
- Not be an immediate relative of an elected official where the relative is a candidate

PUBLIC NOTICE: L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting
December 6, 2022 General Election Runoff
Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the December 6, 2022, General Election Runoff in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed in the Board of Elections and Registrations office 100 Bacon Street Irwinton, Ga. 31042. Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Thursday, November 17, 2022, beginning at 10 am and will continue from day to day until completed. Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday December 7, 2022, unless otherwise posted and will continue from day to day until complete.
The last date to register to vote in the December 6, 2022, General Election Runoff is November 7, 2022. Our office will be closed for Thanksgiving holidays Nov 24- Nov 27, 2020. Earliest date to begin Absentee Voting by mail begins as soon as possible. Advance Voting (in-person will begin on November 28, 2022, through December 2,2022 at 9am-5pm.
Election Day voting is December 6, 2022, at 7: 00a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assign polling location. We are located in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133.
