We will not be hosting an election in the month of March.

In accordance with Georgia Code 21-2-540(c)(2)(B)(ii), questions are not to appear on the March Special Election ballot, unless court ordered by a judge. If this is the case, please send the order to me and your liaison/election specialist.

The question will be moved to the May election.

PUBLIC NOTICE – L & A Testing, Computation & Canvassing and Absentee Voting For March 17, 2026, Special Election

Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment that will be used in the March 17, 2026, special  election in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed at GED Building located at 8159 Ga Hwy 57, McIntyre, Ga. 31054.  Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026, beginning at 8 am and will continue from day to day until completed.  Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used.   The election supervisor and registrar will conduct testing.  Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday March 18, 2026, unless otherwise posted and will continue from day to day until complete.

The last date to request an absentee ballot for the March Special Election is March 6, 2026, at 11:59 pm. Advance Voting (in-person will begin on Monday February 23, 2026, through Friday March 13, 2026, during the hours of  9am-5pm at the Wilkinson County Courthouse. We will have 2 mandatory Saturday voting days. February 28  & March 7 from 9 am to 5 pm. Election Day voting is Tuesday March 17, 2026, from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assign polling location.  We are located in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133. Notice of Qualifying for May General Primary Election/Nonpartisan Election
Wilkinson County, Georgia

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §21-2-131(1) (A), the following qualifying fees have been set:
County Commissioner Chairman                                                                       $234.00
County Commissioner                                                                                      $ 180.00

Qualifying dates are Monday March 2, 2026, through Friday March 06, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
Qualifying will be conducted by the Democratic and Republican parties and locations will be announced later by each party.  Independent candidate qualifying will also be held during this time. The Primary Election will be held May 17, 2026.  The deadline for registering to vote in the Primary is April 20, 2026. The General Election will be held on November 3, 2026.  Absentee ballots will be available at least 45 days prior to each election. 2025 Election Dates to Remember

  • August 18, 2025 – First Day to Accept Absentee Applications for the November 4th General/Special Election
  • August 18 – August 22, 2025 – Municipal Qualifying Period. ( Please see your local government for specific qualifying dates and times)
  • October 6, 2025 – Last day to register to vote or change your address for the upcoming election
  • October 14, 2025 – First day to mail out absentee by mail ballots and first day of early voting for the November 4th Election
  • October 18, 2025 – Mandatory Saturday voting 9 am to 5 pm
  • October 24, 2025 – Last day to accept absentee my mail applications for November 4th election

Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21.2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment that will be used in the July 15, 2025,  Democratic Primary Public Service Commission Election in Wilkinson County will be publicly performed at the GED Building located at 8159 Ga Hwy 57, McIntyre, Ga. 31054.  Testing on all voting equipment will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025, beginning at 9 am and will continue from day to day until completed.

Members of the public are invited to observe the preparation and testing of all equipment to be used. The election supervisor and registrar/clerk and staff will conduct testing. Pursuant to O.C.G.A & 21-2-492 Computation, canvassing, and certification of election results will begin on Wednesday July 16, 2025, unless otherwise posted.

Advance Voting (in-person) will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025, and go through Friday July 11, 2025,  at  the Wilkinson County Courthouse. The hours of Early voting will be from 9am to 5 pm each day.

Election Day voting is July 15, 2025,  at 7:00a.m to 7:00 p.m. at your assigned polling location. We are in the courthouse in the Elections & Registrar’s Office Rm# 133. For more information regarding testing and/or your voter registration status, contact the elections’ office at 478-946-2188.
